Russia is also known as the Russian Federation. The official language of
the country is Russian and the capital of the country is Moscow. The currency
of the country is Russian Ruble. The Constitution of Russian Federation
establishes the special legal status of the Central Bank of Russian Federation.
It has the exclusive right to issue currency and to protect the Russian Ruble
along with ensuring its stability in the economy.
The legislative power i.e., the law-making power is vested in the
Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The Federal Assembly is the
Parliament of the Russian Federation. It is a bicameral legislative body where
the State Duma is one of the chambers and the other chamber is the Federation
Council. The President of Russia is the Head of the State and the executive
power is exercised by the Government of the Russian Federation.
