This data is shared and accessed on an international level through INTERPOL. This organization is headquartered in Lyon, France and it is world’s largest police organization intending to curb crimes. INTERPOL facilitates worldwide police cooperation in-order to control crimes. INTERPOL is an international organization working and watching to control crimes with the best of the efforts put in by the organization.

publishes color-coded notices which enables and helps countries to share alerts
and information worldwide. One may read about the color-coded notices published
in the newspapers. These notices are international requests for cooperation and they also act as alerts allowing police in member countries to share critical crime
related information so that the human race is protected to the best extent
possible. E.g., Red notice is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate
and provisionally arrest a person who is pending any surrender, extradition or any
other similar legal action whereas yellow notice is a global police alert for a
person who has gone missing. It is published especially for victims of criminal
abductions (kidnappings) or unexplained disappearances etc.
