The United States
of America also known as United States or as America, is a federal republic
consisting of 50 States. The flag of the United States is a symbol of freedom
and liberty that the people of America achieved after their struggle to be free
and liberated and have their own governance. The 50 white stars on the flag
represent the 50 States of America. The capital of the United States is
Washington, D.C. the dialing code of the country is +1 and the currency is the
United States Dollar.
The federal government of the United States of America is divided into three branches as per the Constitution of the United States.
Legislative Branch (ARTICLE I): All legislative powers are vested in the Congress of the United States. The American Congress is the bicameral legislative body. The Congress consists of Senate (Upper House) and House of Representatives (Lower House). There are two elected Senators from each State making the total number of Senators to be 100. The House of Representatives consists of 435 elected representatives that are divided among the 50 states in proportion to their total population.
Executive Branch (ARTICLE II): The executive power is vested in the President of the United States of America. This branch comprises of the President, Vice President, Cabinet etc. The executive branch carries out and enforces laws. They implement the laws for the welfare of the people of America. The citizens of America have the right to vote for the President through free and confidential ballots. The President is elected by a national constituency. The President acts as head of the State and Commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
Judicial Branch (ARTICLE III): The judicial branch comprises of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. This branch interprets the meaning of laws, decides if laws violate the Constitution etc. The Supreme Court is the highest Court in the United States. The Justices of the Supreme Court are nominated by the President and must be approved by the Senate.
The President of the United States (POTUS in short) is the most influential and powerful public official. The President is elected by a national constituency and is the head of the State of U.S. The executive power is vested in the President of the United States of America. The Executive branch of government oversees the carrying out of laws i.e., the execution and implementation of the laws. This branch is concerned with executing the laws. The President is the chief executive of the federal government and also a Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces.
The powers and duties of the President are described in Article II of the U.S. Constitution. According to the Constitution the President must be a natural born citizen of the United States, must be at least 35 years old and should be a resident of the United States for 14 years. Section 1 of Article II grants executive power to the President and as per section 3 the President has to take care that the laws are faithfully executed.
Presidential veto is considered as a significant tool that the Presidents have. By exercising this power, the President can stop not all but most popular bill or joint resolution from becoming law against the Presidential wish. As per the Constitution of United States of America every Bill which is passed in the House of Representatives and Senate shall before it becomes law be presented to the President of the United States of America. Thus, the position of the President is one of the most powerful and influential position and can be said to be on top when it comes to a chart of positions.
Cabinet in simple words would mean a team of senior most ministers who are chosen to lead, advise and oversee certain policy making areas like Health, Defense, Education etc. In the United States of America, the President’s Cabinet includes the Vice President and the heads of the executive departments who work for the betterment of the people of US. The major areas of Health, Education, Defense etc. require keen attention and the growth in these areas lead to the overall growth and progress of the Nation. The Cabinet is very much responsible in the progress of the Nation.
While appointing the members of the Cabinet, the President not only looks into the talent and potential of the person but also the representativeness in terms of different sections of the society and the different regions of the country have to be considered so that everyone has an equal opportunity to represent the people of USA. Some Presidents of USA have preferred to have small conferences with individual cabinet members while dealing with a particular issue whereas some Presidents prefer to meet the cabinet as a whole while dealing with a particular issue. Thus, US Cabinet plays a vital role in the governance.
The White House is the place where the President and the First Family (i.e., wife, children etc.) of the President of United States of America live. The White House is located in Washington, D.C. It is the official residence and workplace of the President of the United States and it is very renowned throughout the globe. The White House is very historic and it depicts the rich heritage and culture of America and it is a place of political importance.
Countless leaders and dignitaries have been welcomed in the White House. In the past it was also known as “Presidents House”, “Executive Mansion” but currently we all know and officially recognize it as The White House. The site for the construction of the White House was selected by the first President of U.S.A. i.e., President George Washington.
Washington, D.C. is the capital of the United States of America. It is also referred as Washington or D.C. in short. Washington, D.C. (District of Columbia) serves as a seat of the country’s federal government and several other international organizations have their headquarters at Washington D.C.
The U.S. Capitol is located at Washington D.C. It is here that the Senate and the House of Representatives come to discuss, debate and decide the various laws that would apply to the United States of America making this place a very important one from global perspective as well. The White House is located in Washington, D.C. It is the official residence and workplace of the President of the United States and the focal point when it comes to U.S politics.

It formulates the monetary policy in U.S. and is significantly important from global perspective. The Federal Reserve System is often referred to as Federal Reserve or Fed in short. The Federal Reserve System was created by the Congress to provide U.S. with safe, flexible and stable financial system for the smooth functioning of the economy.
As per Article I of the Constitution of the United States of America all legislative powers i.e., the law-making powers are vested in the Congress of the United States which makes laws for the people of the United States.
